Who We Are

The Birthday Wagon is a non-profit organization that organizes birthday parties for children residing in shelters in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area.

The children living in the shelter are invited to come celebrate with The Birthday Wagon. Each party is held at the shelter, and we play games, eat cake, sing "Happy Birthday" and watch as each child with a birthday that month unwraps their gifts. Considering that many of these children have NEVER experienced a birthday party before, the excitement on their faces is truly heart-warming!

The success of The Birthday Wagon depends solely on the support of its volunteers, sponsors and donors. Decorations, games, refreshments, cake and birthday presents for the children are generously donated to help make each party a success!
